L azy 3 Ranch/Parrot Heads edged 5 Star in a shootout in the Alonzo "Chango" Galindo Memorial after the teams were knotted at 6 after regulation time. The 5 Star players failed to reach the goal in the shootout, while Russell Stimmel and Hugo Nunez connected for Lazy 3 Ranch. The Galindo Memorial was held at the Midland Polo Club in Midland, Texas on September 18 after getting rained out the previous day. The cup had games at the 2- and 4-goal level. 50 POLO PLAYERS EDITION Lazy 3 played at the 4-goal level. Ernesto Natividad connected for 5 Star to get the scoring started. Nick Watson followed with a goal for 5 Star and Natividad converted before Roni Duke posted a goal for Lazy 3. Duke scored the only goal of the second period to bring Lazy 3 within one. After the half, Antonio Torres popped in a penalty for 5 Star and Natividad scored from the field. Hugo Nunez scored his first goal late in the penalty period to keep Lazy 3 in the game. Nunez sandwiched goals around one from Watson in the fourth bringing Lazy 3 within one. Russell Stimmel finished the job with a field goal to tie the scored in the knick of time. The teams elected for a shootout to determine the winner, putting Lazy 3 ahead. Ernesto Natividad was named MVP while Russell Stimmel's J.J. was Best Playing Pony. A 5 Star team also competed in the 2-goal match, taking on 91 Ranch. In
